The Role:

 Accounting

• Ensuring statutory reporting, tax reporting and audit requirements are met in accordance with tax and legal requirements
• Collating and storing of all paperwork as required by local regulations
• Calculation of taxes attributable to the local legal entity
• Interacting with the tax authorities as required
• Ensuring the quality, transparency and completeness of accounting according to the regulations
• Conducting development and implementation of internal tax and accounting policies
• Coordinating accounting of routine transactions including bank transactions, VAT and in-house input for salary and travel & expense reporting
• Tax planning
• Ensuring compliance with currency regulation, monitoring regulatory risk and reporting timely
• Co-ordinating and managing the relationship with internal, external and group auditors  (IFRS and RAS)
• Translating business requirements to company’s accounting and reporting principles, processes and concepts
• Reconciliation of accounting ledgers in 1-C and SAP
• Developing relationships with business owners, including a close connection with the sales logistics team to ensure accurate reporting of trade and retail sales in both systems
• Preparation and coordination of the monthly and annual closing, in accordance with both local and group rules.  Respecting the deadlines with the expected level of quality

Finance

• Providing technical tax and financial advice on contracts and projects as they arise, including evaluation of whether the proposed set ups are compliant with local regulations
• Managing the relationship with external tax consultants for advice on complex projects
• Main point of contact internally and externally for finances and reporting in Russia
• Providing updates on key developments to the head office on a regular basis
• Supervision of treasury and cash management
• Cash management and forecasting, including preparation/review of payment schedules
• Control of financial transactions
• Forecasting and budgeting
• Analysis of country performance against budget and forecast
• Ad hoc analysis and reporting as required locally and by head office 

The Candidate:

• Higher Education in Accounting with 5+ years relevant experience as a Chief Accountant
• Work experience in retail
• 1C 8.0  proficient user
• Excellent communication skills
• Proven organisational skills including multitasking capabilities
• Strong interpersonal skills and flexibility concerning daily businesses activities
• Conscientious individual as well as a team contributor to combined business projects
• Experience of developing and implementing recommendations regarding projects and processes initiated by other departments.
• Good knowledge of Russian taxation, RAS and understanding of IFRS.
• SAP R/3 knowledge would be a plus
• Fluent English
